OBITUARY — BILEK
Mrs. Mary Bilek (nee Sobek) was born in Bohemia March 3, 1844, and passed away at her home in Muscoda January 30, 1928, being at the time of her death 83 years 10 months and 27 days old.
At the age of 22 years, she came with her parents to America and on January 20, 1876, she was united in marriage to Wensel Bilek, who proceeded her in death 16 years ago. Four children came to bless this union three dying in infancy and Anton who passed away in 1918. She was tenderly cared for during her illness by her loving sister Mrs. Tony Manning. She leaves to mourn her death two sisters Mrs. Tony Manning of Muscoda and Mrs. Jessie Simmons of Marshfield and two brothers John Sobek of Muscoda and August Sobek of Minnesota and a host of relatives and friends She was a member of the Altar Society and a faithful member of St John's Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and a good friendly neighbor to everyone. She lived the past 50 years at Muscoda in lower town where she died. The funeral services were held from St John's Catholic church Wednesday, and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
