I don't believe this Mary Bean could be dau. of William Bean b: 1721. She could have been dau. of his brother John Been b: between 1728-1740, or she could be a granddau. of Wm. possibly. In Raulston & Russell Genealogy by Barbara Gonce Clepper (1986), she lists a dau. Mary for John Been citing the researcher/historian Merton Eberlein, his article in the Bean Stalk published between 1972 and 1986 (sorry I can't be more definite). The Bean Stalk is a publication of the Southern Bean Association, a group dedicated to the study of all lines of the Bean/Been/Beene (and any other spelling of the name) families. The Blair family has at least one other intermarriage w/the Bean family, that of Elizabeth (nee Blair) Shaw to William Bean, Jr. b: abt 1745 and son of William Bean b: 1721.
