Mary (Morrell) Carle was living in the home of her youngest daughter, Rhoda J. (Carle) Scribner, when she died in Painesville, Ohio on 13 Dec 1841. Two years earlier (1839), she was living with the Scribner family in Verona, Oneida Co., New York when she deposed about the Rev War service of her husband, John Carle, as well as the Rev War service of her husband's brother-in-law, Thomas Hutchins (on behalf of his widow, Abigail Carle Hutchins, sister of John Carle).
