Mary Catharine “Cathy” Heijermans, 94, of Lancaster, PA, died at Calvary Homes on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Born in Norristown, PA she was the daughter of the late Elwood L. and Mary Krause Clemmer and was married to Henry J. Heijermans whom she was married to for 70 years which landed on the day of her death.

She received her RN from Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia in 1947 and graduated from the Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in 1951. She served alongside her husband now retired General Director of Biblical Ministries Worldwide.

Cathy is survived by two sons; A. Timothy Heijermans, Luxembourg and Robert H. Heijermans, Ottawa, Canada, six grandchildren; Christina Hubbard, St. Paul, MN, Kerrie Bethel, Spain, Nathan Heijermans, Severn, MD, Jordan Heijermans and Anneke Toliver, Seth Heijermans, all of Virginia Beach, VA, and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by siblings: Robert Clemmer, Greg Clemmer, Paul Clemmer, and Margaret Roberts.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, 11 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor John Duty officiating & Chaplain Kevin Brown and Timothy and Robert Heijermans participating.
