Mary Catherine Jones

Mary Catherine King was the daughter of Daniel King Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Bruce, of Indiana. She was the oldest of nine children. Her younger siblings were Dr. William M, Francis "Frank", Laura, Oscar Daniel, Esther E, Elizabeth "Eliza", George W. and Flavia King. She married John Edward Jones Dec 31, 1874 in Willow Hill, Jasper Co, Illinois. Mary Catherine King and John Edward Jones were the parents of eleven children all born in Willow Hill, Jasper County, Illinois. Of these children there were three sets of twins, some died in infancy. Their children were Nora B, Ora Lester, Lillie and Laura (twins) William Washington and Willet D (twins) Daisy and Hallie (twins), Nina, Esther May and John Daniel. Mary Catherine, widow of John Edward Jones died at the home of her son John Daniel of Pedee, Oregon. Interred by W.L. Smith, Monmouth, Polk County, Oregon (now Farnstrom Mortuary).
