Mary Jane Cordle

Mary Jane Remy was the daughter of Thadeus Remy and wife Geany Caldwell. Her name is sometimes spelled Ramey and later generations did use the Ramey spelling. She was born in 1842, probably in Lawrence County, Kentucky. She married Rev. Jeremiah Cordial on August 30, 1860. He was born August 30, 1860 and died November 12, 1894 in Blaine, Lawrence County, Kentucky. His name is sometimes spelled Cordle and later generations did use the Cordle spelling.

Jeremiah had been married twice before marrying Mary Jane, and she helped to raise her stepchildren, in addition to having children of her own with Rev. Cordial.
