Mary Polly Crow

William married (1) Mary Lamb daughter of Longshore Lamb and Sarah Lee. Mary was born about 1780. She died about 1825/1826.

Mary Polly Lamb married William Crow in South Carolina.  Members of these families also were involved in land transactions together.  The Longshore Lamb and William Crow familiies moved to Caldwell County, Kentucky, about the same time and the intermarrying continued in Kentucky.

They had the following children:

1. Sarah Longshore Crow was born on 22 Nov 1800 in , South Carolina. She died on 11 Feb 1885 in , Van Buren, AR. [Notes] Sarah married James Clayton son of William Clayton on 24 Oct 1816 in , Caldwell, KY.

3. William L Crow was born in 1802/1804 in , South Carolina. He died on 23 Oct 1833. William married Eliza Lindsey on 17 Feb 1827 in , Calloway, KY.
4. Levi Crow. married Jane Gresham
5. Richard Crow was born in 1811/1819 in , Caldwell, Kentucky.
6. Moses Edward Crow. married (1) Margaret Sanders married (2) Margaret Ellen Hendrix
7. Mary Crow was born about 1814 in , Caldwell, KY. Mary married William Gresham on 20 Jun 1828 in , Calloway, KY.
8. Rebecca Crow was born about 1814 in , Caldwell, KY. She died on 22 Apr 1861 in , Lyon, KY. [Notes] Rebecca married Humphrey Hopper on 9 Aug 1829 in , Calloway, KY. Humphrey died on 26 Mar 1861 in , Lyon, KY. [Notes]
9. Minerva Crow was born about 1821 in , Caldwell, Kentucky. [Notes] Minerva married David Hopper on 25 Aug 1845 in , Calloway, KY.
10. Martin Crow was born about 1824 in , Caldwell, KY. [Notes] Martin married Sarah A McElroy on 11 Mar 1851 in , Caldwell, KY.

Notes

Per Linda Monticelli (on GenForum), there was a law suite of 1845-1848, that named all the children of Mary Lamb Crow.

Linda Lamb Monticelli wrote a lengthy article on The Longshore Lamb Family. It is contained in "Western Kentucky Journal" Volume 14, No. 2 Spring 2007.

Nine children and some grandchildren of Longshear Lamb. “John Lamb, Sr., et al. versus Estate of Longshore Lamb", Legal Document, Courthouse, Caldwell County, Kentucky, July 07, 1845.  Issue is dispostion of the 157 acres which Longshear Lamb purchased from William Crow.
