William Daily

Although many family trees list the children given for William Daily and Mary Palmer, this does not agree with historical evidence. In 1869 James S. Brown interviewed his mother, Elizabeth Stephens Brown, who was the daughter of Mary Ann Daily Stephens on the background of her family--the William Daily family.

Many say William Daily and Mary Palmer married in 1780 in Rowan, North Carolina, but, again, historical records (children’s census reports) show children born in the 1770’s in New Jersey (e.g. Hannah, b. NJ, 1778, per 1850 Cole, Missouri Census).
