Former Local Resident Dies
Mrs. Mary Dickey, wife of Milton Dickey and former resident of Ashland, died at the Willard hospital at 6:25 a.m today after a lingering illness. Mrs. Dickey, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Harper, was born in Vermillion township near Hayesville September 28, 1955. She was married to Milton Dickey December 5, 1878. Their daughter died several years ago. After their marriage they lived near Clearcreek and then moved to Union street where they spent 15 years. During the last three years they have lived in Greenwich. She was a member of the Dickey church. Mrs. Dickey is survived by her husband, three grandchildren, and six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Charles Workman of Danville; and a brother, Frank Harper of Ashland. The body is at Gilbert's Chapel where it will remain until Thursday at 1 p.m. when it will be taken to Dickey church. Regular services will be conducted at the church at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Rev. William Desenberg, assisted by Rev. Charles Helm. Burial will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
