Not the same as Mary Sanderson
Mary Eggleston (1613 - before 1630), daughter of Bygod Eggleston and Mary Talcott, was born 6 January 1613 and baptised 19 January 1613/4 at St. Margaret's, Norwich, Norfolk, England. She died prior to her father's emigration with her three surviving brothers to the Colonies about 1630. She DID NOT marry Edward Saunderson (c1615 - c1645) - this is an error caused by confusing this Mary Eggleston, daughter of Bygod, with a Mary Egellston in the Colonies.
Robert Anderson, author of The Great Migration, disputes that she was the daughter of Bygot (Bagot, etc) Eggleston of Connecticut. Anderson says it “is unlikely for many reasons: the Mary baptized in Norwich in 1614 would have been thirty at the time of this marriage; Bigod did not name her or any of her children in his will; and the Egglestons of Windsor had no known connection with Watertown at this early date.”
