Mary Elizabeth Knott

Mary Elizabeth Kent was born on 15 Oct 1877 in Albany, East Cape, RSA, was christened on 29 Oct 1881 in Grahamstown, East Cape, RSA, and died on 22 Jul 1933 in Pietersburg (Polokwane) District, TVL, RSA at age 55.

General Notes: Mary spent her youth on Kentucky. She married Ben Knott and they farmed at Naudeshoek near Alice where, in 1898, their first child Bertie (Herbert Benjamin) was born. Later they moved to a farm near Bethulie in the O.F.S.. Finally they settled on a farm callled Netrecht near Munnik in the Northern Transvaal in the Louis Trichardt District.

23 Jun 1897 in Grahamstown, East Cape, RSA. Benjamin was born on 15 Oct 1867 in Alice, East Cape, RSA and died on 9 Feb 1932 in Letaba District, TVL, RSA at age 64. They had six children: Herbert Benjamin "Bert," Mary Winifred "Winnie," John Theunis "Jack," Helen Marjory, Benjamin Archibald, and Stella Mary.
