Morning Sun, Ia., June 8.—Mrs. Mary Ella Johnson Wolverton, age 67, wife of John Wolverton of this place, passed away Wednesday at 8:15 p. m., after a few weeks illness. She was born near Middletown, Ia., Jan. 24, 1866, and has lived in this place many years. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church Friday at 2 p. m. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. The following children, with the husband, survive:

Tex., Mrs. Watson, Mrs. George Bryant, George Wolverton, Mrs. Jessil Royer, all of Morning Sun, Ia., Clayton Wolverton, Mediapolis, Ia.; also two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Spurlock, Ft. Collins, Colo., Mrs. Hattie Macy, Oskaloosa, Ia., and four brothers, David Johnson of Gridley, Colo., P. M. Johnson, Burlington, George Johnson of Woodburn, la., C. C. Johnson, Morning Sun.

MRS. JOHN WOLVERTON DIED WEDNESDAY
Funeral at M. E. Church Friday Afternoon.
Mrs. John Wolverton, 67, a resident of this city for the past sixteen years, died at her home Wednesday afternoon, June 7, following a five weeks' illness.
The funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. W. G. Barr. The interment will be at Elmwood cemetery.
Mrs. Wolverton was born in Des Moines county, this state, January 25, 1866. She was united in marriage to John Wolverton who with the following children mourn her death: Lemmie Wolverton of Acquilla, Texas; Mrs. Rosa Watson, Mrs. Lula Bryant, Mrs. Jessie Royer and Harlan Wolverton of Morning Sun; Clayton Wolverton of Mediapolis; 26 grandchildren and one great-gandchild also survive. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Spurlock of Ft. Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Mattie Macy of Oskaloosa; five brothers, William and Dave Johnson of Gridley, Kan.; George Johnson of Woodburn, Iowa; C. C. Johnson of Morning Sun, and M. Johnson of Burlington.
Relatives called here by her last illness were: Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Wolverton, Mrs. Macy, George Johnson and P. M. Johnson.
