About Rosa Alice Douglas
MORNING SUN — Mrs. Rosa Alice Douglas, 90, Morning Sun, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 8, in Burlington Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 29, 1888, in Van Buren county, the daughter of John E. and Mary Ella Johnson Wolverton. She married Charles B. Watson and following his death she married Thomas Douglas in 1934; he died March 16, 1959.
She was a member of the United Methodist church and the RNA.
Surviving: Two sons, Elmer and Roy Watson, both of Morning Sun; two daughters, Helen Marshall, Cedar Falls, and Leila Perrenoud, Fairfield; brother, Lem Wolverton, Kileen, Texas; two sisters, Jessie Royer, St. Charles, Mo., and Lulu Bryant, Morning Sun; five grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, United Methodist church, Rev. Fred Harris; Elmwood cemetery. The body is at Pierce funeral home.

Rosa divorced Watson, I was just looking at the 1930 census and she listed herself as divorced. She married Douglas in 1933, not 1934. It was Douglas's 3rd marriage. -- Shirley Ann Denmark (48992384).
