Obituary:

Mary Josephine Evans Smith, 84, died Saturday, May 8, 1993 in Logan. She was born January 10, 1909 in Bountiful, Utah, to Jessie G. and Inez Wood Evans. She married Ariel T. Smith in the Salt Lake Temple, October 18, 1929. He died May 14, 1964. She lived in Bountiful, Provo, South Africa and Logan. She was an active member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her children, Ariel E., Cape Town, South Africa Mission; Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Calder, Grand Junction, Colo.; Marvin A. Smith, Provo; Roland E. Smith, Page, Arizona; Keith W. Smith, Mendon; Mrs. Keith (Barbara) Paulsen, Sandy; and Mrs. James P. (Betty) Gibson, Logan; 51 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marjorie Ketchem, Calif.; Inez Kaas, West Valley City; and Dorothy Lynch, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Mrs. Glen (Shirley) Calder, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 13, 11 a.m. at the Cache West Stake Center, 125 West 600 No. Logan. Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. Logan, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 So. 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. N 5/10 T 5/11
