This Mary Chadwell is no relation to Capt. David Chadwell, Sr. David's father is a John H. Chadwell, who was born in 1702 and married Barthena. NOT THE SAME JOHN H. CHADWELL.

Nor is this the Mary Chadwell (Mary Polly Adams) who married Capt. David Chadwell, Sr.'s son (John Chadwell, Sr., born 1771.) Please keep the birthdates straight.

Mary and most of her children moved to middle TN and were there by 1819. Received a slave named Darcus from her son, William Chadwell, according to his will (Will Book "A" p. 122 Rockingham Co NC)
