Note I sent to Shelley McGaskin Hi just going through all this again. I agree our Mary Ann Gibbins father is not Adolphus Gibbins. equally, Edward and Katherine are not our Mary Ann Gibbins parents either. Edward Gubbins is actually named Gibbons, the 1861 census was interpreted wrongly. Also Edwards daughter is listed as living with him on the 1881 census plus she was listed as unmarried. Our Mary Ann was married to Joseph SR Dean in 1878 so this would totally rule out Edward Gibbins family. Joseph was with his parents on the night of the 1881 census, but I cant find Mary Ann Gibbins (Dean) and their daughter Mary Adeline Dean born 1878 on the census anywhere. Its still a mystery! I did come across a Mary Ann Gibbons baptism to William Henry and Mary Ann Gibbons for 20 June 1858 so I am going to research that possible link.

I cant find a Mary Ann Gibbins living with a William Henry Gibbins and Mary Ann Gibbins on the 1861 or 1871 census.

I have found a William and Mary Ann Cousins but their daughter Mary Ann was only a few months old at the 1861 census so another dead end. Facts we know.

Death Certificate: Died 22nd April 1896 age 39 = 1857 birthdate. We cannot rely on the baptismal data in her profile. Married Joseph Stephen Henry Dean. We have their banns data. we need the marriage certificate! Mary Ann is listed on the birth of Mary Adeline Dean as Mary Dean, formerly Gibbins. It was the same on Joseph John Deans birth certificate. Joseph Stephen Henry Dean witness and father at their daughter Mary Adeline Deans marriage in 1896 . Mary Ann Gibbins died the following month in April 1896, the witness to her death is Joseph Stephen Dean Husband. The only guaranteed census data we have is for 1891 and she was listed as born in Westminster, age 33 so good for 1858 birth but not 1857 as suggested by her death certificate.
