She married

1. Robert III MASSEY 1678 in St. Paul's Parish, Stafford Co., VA, son of Robert MASSEY and Anne HOWSON. He was born ABT 1650 in Stafford Co., VA, and died AFT 22 MAR 1685 in Stafford Co., VA.
2. Rice III HOOE BEF 10 FEB 1691 in Charles City Co., VA, son of Rice II HOOE and Susanna. He was born ABT 1661 in Merchant's Hope, Charles City Co., VA, and died 17 APR 1726 in Barnesfield, Hooe's Ferry, Stafford Co., VA.

Stafford County, Virginia Order Book, Page 5 Court held Xber 12th Anno 1689 524. MARY MASSEY the Widow and Executrix of Capt. ROBERT MASSEY deced complaining sheweth that Major ANDREW GILSON stands indebted to the Plt in the sum of Fifteen thousand and ninety three pounds of Tobacco in cask due to her the said Plt by Bill and account .. And the said Major Andrew Gilson the Deft came here in Court and legally discounted the sum of Five thousand three hundred and thirty one pounds of Tobacco out of the foresaid sum in the declaration prayed for Therefore tis ordered that the said Major Andrew Gilson shall make present payment of the sum of Nine thousand seven hundred and sixty two pounds of Tobacco in cask unto the said Mary Massey

Some memoranda of my early ancestors in Virginia and Great Britain. Francis Dade Sept. 13th, 1694: Francis Dades inventory 8th of June, 1698. Robt. Dade (son of Francis) receipt to Rice Hooe, for the estate of his father, as guardian of three bothers, 13th. Feb. 1705 (F 306) Robt. Dade, son of Francis, to H. Fitzhugh 6th of Oct. 1708: (429) The above Francis Dade, the son of John Dade (sometimes called Smith) left four sons viz. Robert who died before 1714, Townshend¬Francis, and Cadwallader- See their acquittance to Daniel French, who married Robt's widow (H 144) Townshend Dade married the daughter of Phillip Alexander, (See Lib. H.,272) it appears that Frances Townshend, one of the daughters of Col. Robt. Townshend who first inter-married with Francis Dade, first above mentioned and had by him the above name four sons- after his death married Rice Hooe.
