Mary Irene Crane Hogue was born in Mercer County, Illinois - Township 13. In 1870 she lived in Suez, Mercer County, Illinois. On July third in 1879 she married William Hogue in Mercer, Illinois.

In 1889 she lived in Kent, King County, Washington. In 1891 Bertha was born in Thurston, Washington. They lived in Thurston in 1892. In 1900 the family was living in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington. William was making shoes.

In 1903, son Fred died on 13 July in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, from tuberculosis. He was 23 years old.

In 1909 son George died on 11 January in Everette Washington at age 24 from tuberculosis.

On May 9, 1918, William Hogg/Hogue, Mary Irene's spouse, died in Ontario, San Bernadino, California.

The 1919 Census does not show Mary or her daughter Bertha. It was assumed they were on their way to California.

In 1920 Mary Irene Crane Hogue was living on W 30th Street, Los Angeles, California, with Belle and Bertha.

In 1930 Mary Irene lived in San Antonio, Los Angeles County, California with her brother Albert.

In 1940 Mary Crane Hogg/Hogue died on February 21 in Los Angeles, California. She is buried at Bellevue Cemetery, Ontario, San Bernadino County, California.
