Mary Woodis/Woods was born on 7 Sep 1753, in Concord, Middlesex County, in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of Henry Woodis and Eleanor Hopkinson.[1]

Mary married Joseph Lee in Concord on 27 Nov 1678.[2]

Mary was mentioned in her father's will.[3]

Mary Woodis Lee died in Concord at the age of 55, on 25 Nov 1708.[4]

Family

Joseph Leigh was born about 1643. He was the son of John Leigh and Anne Hungerford. He passed away in 1716.

"Joseph Leigh (of John Leigh, born at Ipswich Oct or Nov 1643), died Nov 4, 1716 at Concord." "As his father and Henry Woodis, Esq, of Concord had been neighbors in London, the acquaintance was continued in this country ... marriage between Joseph and Mary[1], eldest daughter of Mr. Woodis. Joseph removed to Concord after July 3d, 1695, at the earnest request of Mr Woodis who desired him to take his farm and take care of him in his old age. The Woodis farm remained in the Lee family until about the year 1815. "

All his children were by his first first wife Mary Woodis who died after 1695.

Joseph Leigh married 2) Mary dau of John Miles, widow of Edmund Wigley. she died Nov 27 1708.

Joseph Leigh married 3) on 28 Jan 1712/13 widow Mary Fox, who after his death mar. Mr Daniel Hoar, nephew of Leonard Hoar, who was President of Harvard in 1672.

  6. Woodis Lee Sr (1689-1761) born Ipswich Dec 18, 1789 died at Concord Dec 31, 1761; Farmer lived in Concord and at one time owned a part of the Lee farm. Mar Aug 4, 1715, Elizabeth, dau of Isaac and Mary Wood of Concord, who was born 1693, d 26 Feb 178. They had Woodis, Bathsehba; Bathsheba; Seth; Elizabeth; Thamar.
