He married Catherine, daughter of Hector McSween, of Beaver Cove. Issue: — Ann, Bessie, James, Mary, Roderick, Mary, Archie, Ronald, and Lucy.

 Mary married Donald H. McLean, of Boisdale. One of their sons, Ronald, studied for the holy office of the priesthood and was ordained in Rome. He is Curate at Iona.
