Biography
Mary Berry was born, c1711 (if age 18 at time of first marriage, when she was "of Scarborough"), parents not identified;
married (1) at Scarborough, Maine, 24 Dec 1729, Israel Mitchell, son of William Mitchell and Honor (_____) of Scarborough, formerly of Kittery. They removed to New Meadows (in or near present-day Brunswick), where he drowned in the New Meadows River in 1749. [1] [2]
Following Israel's death, Mary married (2) at Scarborough, 17 Jul 1750, Getchell-186, Joseph Getchell, Jr. [2] [3] baptized at Wells, Maine, June 20 [3] or 25, [4] 1726.
