About Mary Frances Norrell
Mary and Henry were married in 1849 and soon moved to Coosa County, AL and lived at Travelers Rest near Rockford. Henry and his brother, Alfred, had a shop in Rockford making shoes and saddles during the War Between the States. After the war their barrels of confederate money were rolled out the back door of the shop and burned. They are both buried in the Rockford Cemetery. Information on this family group was sent to Ann Veazey Davis by Mary's great-granddaughter, Mavis Holt Williams in 1994.
