It is unclear as to how Mary and Abram met. She traveled to United States in December of 1910 to visit him in Maynard, MA. (It does not appear that her daughter Ester accompanied her.) They married on Dec 24, 1910; both returned to Finland in May,1912. A 10 month old male infant was traveling with them, but there is no information as to where/when he was born and what happened to him. In Finland, Mary returned to her daughter Ester who was at the family farm in Ii and Abram went to his family in Pulkkila. See sources.
