Wife of Stanton Pierce, married 2-15-1841, Jefferson Co. TN. Daughter of Eli Bettis and Darthula Lewis-Bettis.
Stanton and Mary were married and had five children while living in Jefferson Co. TN. They moved to Crittenden Co. KY about 1860, following her brother, Jacob Bettis, who moved there in about 1857 with his family. Their brother, Duke Kimbrough Bettis, also lived in Jefferson Co. with his family for many years, but made an intermediate stop in McMinn Co. TN, before joining the others in Crittenden Co. in 1870.
