Biography
Mary Andrews was born about 1631 probably in England. She is the daughter of Henry Andrews and Mary Pool.
Mary married William Hodges around 1648/1649 in Taunton.[1] They had two children, John and Henry.[2]
William Hodges died April 2, 1654, in Taunton. He seems to have held considerable property, which Mary settled on her two sons (less 30 pounds and her clothes for herself) in her will proved on March 15, 1655.[3]
Mary married secondly Peter Pitts about 1655. They had six children.[3]
Peter Pitts died June 9, 1692, and Mary was his executor at which time she was described as "a very antient and infirm woman."[3]
Mary (Andrews Hodges) Pitts was an inn holder in Taunton in 1700. She must have died some time after that but no record has been found.[3]
