About Mary "Polly" Bradshaw Sparks (Culp)
Note about parents and maiden name
For one Montgomery County Kolb descendant, a certain chunk of DNA on Chromosome 16 maps to the New Hanover, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Kolb family. Every such match with similar overlap must therefore have the same source.
Mary "Bradshaw", in web trees, is given to a family that lived in Cabarrus County, North Carolina - a family that already has a Mary in it that married another. I therefore claim that "Bradshaw" is not Mary's maiden name, but rather her married name from her first husband, who died young.
One of Mary "Bradshaw"'s children married a Kolb (or "Culp"), and his lineage can be traced back to New Hanover, so it figures that Mary might well be the offshoot of the same family, since it followed the Sparks family through Kentucky and into Missouri. I have therefore set it up that way in GENI, and thus perfectly explained the DNA match seen.
