Mary (Root) Smith died about 1724 in Hadley, Massachusetts. She is buried there in Old Hadley Cemetery.≤ref name='Grave'/> Note: the grave marker claimed to be hers at Find-a-Grave is dated 1721. No primary source documentation of her place and date of death has been found.
