She is named as cousin Mary Russell (with husband James Russell as one of the witnesses) and daughter of "my uncle Alling Ball" in the 1638 will of her cousin John Ball, clothworker of St. Mary Bowe, London.

She emigrated with James to New Haven.

She had one child, a daughter Hannah who m. Thomas Kimberly Jr and who died without issue.

Mary Ball Russell died by 11 Nov 1674 when her inventory was taken in New Haven, Connecticut.[1][2]
