Sampson, 78, of Cedar Ridge Road, Sissonville, formerly of Nicut, Calhoun County, died June 15, 1993 at Cedar Ridge Health Care Center, Sissonville, after an extended illness. She was born in Chloe, Calhoun County, a daughter of the late James G. and Eliza Ater King. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one son, Glen Sampson of Nicut; one brother, Henry King of Duck, W. Va.; two grandsons, Bill Sampdon of Spencer and Ronnie Sampson of Nicut; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Sampson, in 1991; three sisters; and five brothers. Services 10 a. m. Friday, Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsbug. Burial Mount Run Cemetery, Nicut.
