MARY DURASOVA-KOPFOVA (MARY DURAS) (AUSTRIAN 1898- 1982)

Mary Duras was born in Vienna in 1898 and died 1982 in Graz (Austria). She lived and worked mainly in Prague (Czechoslovakia). However during World War II (1939-1945) she lived in London, Then after her flight from the CSSR (the harsh anti-Semitism communist government in power from 1963-1974) she lived in Hamburg (Germany). After the death of her husband (Arnold Schück) she lived in Graz.
