Obituary in The Hanover Herald, Saturday, October 10, 1903:
"Death of Mrs. Lewis Schue.
Mrs. Mary Schue, wife of Lewis Schue, died at 7 A.M. on Tuesday, at her home in West Manheim Township, along the Baltimore pike, aged 58 years, 2 months and 11 days.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter and three sons, Mrs. Catharine Rollman, Jacob H., Joshua H., and Chester L. Schue. There are also eleven grandchildren.
The funeral was held from thehouse, on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. Services and interment at Sherman's Church, Rev. J. A. Metzger officiating." Inscription: Rock of Ages Our Mother
