Mary Helen Shields (1st)

Mary Helen junior was born on 25th May 1882 but sadly she would die at the age of six months due to Bronchitis.
She was her parents first daughter.
Later they would name another daughter Mary Helen, born on the 6th December 1888, her parents 10th wedding anniversary. She must have brought great joy to the family.
But very sadly, she too would die at the age of 10 months, from Bronchitis, which had lasted one month.
She died where she was born, 34 St Andrew’s Street. The same home that her older sister Mary Helen had died.
In 1889 on the 13th November, Hugh and his wife Mary Helen had a son they named Charles.
He too died on the 15th November 1889, two days after being born. The cause on his death certificate was given as Premature Birth 8 months.
