Mary Allen was married to a Benjamin Smalley and was living in Lebanon in 1728.

Mary is said to have died in Northampton, Hampshire Massachusetts. The family left there when Mary was about six years of age and eventually was in Coventry, Connecticut. It is doubtful that Mary ever returned. She has been mixed up with another Mary Allen.

Several errors in the references to Mary Allen

There are several places but this one is one example: In the book "Memorial. Genealogy and Ecclesiastical History" by Alfred Andrews, he says, " ...He married Lydia, sister of joseph Allen, who was father of Col. Ethan. she died, when second, he married Mary ___________...This is incorrect. Lydia married Selah Murray. Mary is the sister of Joseph Allen and Rebecca Wright was Benjamin's first wife.
