Married to Lenard Smith and had 3 children, Mary age 6, Everet age 4, and Carol age 4. (In March of 1881 she gave birth to [..] Draton Alaby.)

Note some differences in reported ages of children between Mary Jane and husband Leonard W. Smith's in the FindAGrave texts.

Also, notes associated with her mother (Mary D. Taylor) cite 1850, 1860, and 1870 census data which point consistently to a birth year of 1848 for Mary Jane Hilton (who was still unmarried at age 22 in 1870). The 1850 and 1860 census also point to Mary Jane being born between July and Oct.
