About Mary Standard-Daniels-Pearce (Phelps)
Mary A. Phelps was born in Monroe County, MO, March 2, 1832, and died at the home of her daughter Mary Turner, in Kearney, Nebr., Jan 20, 1909, aged 76 years, 8 months and 27 days. She was married to thos. Standard in 1849, to this union being born seven children, three of whom are living. She united with the Christian Church at Bible Grove in 1856. Thos Standard died in 1862. She was united in marriage to Barney Pearce in 1867, to this union being born one child, a daughter. She married again in 1875 to Benjamin Power. The results of this union was one daughter who died in 1883. Sister Powers was a kind and indulgent mother and was loved by all who knew her. She was the oldest of nine children, having one brother and two sisters living. She leaves four children to mourn her death. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Glen A. Lewis at Arbela. The remains were interred in the Hickory Grove cemetery. MEMPHIS REVEILLE, Feb 11, 1909, page 2, col. 4. NOTE: Benjamin Power & Mary Ann Pearce were married May 20, 1875 in Scotland County. Their daughter George Annie C. was born Feb 17, 1876
