Note:
The Swansine family spent many years trying to figure out how they wanted to Americanize their last name. The family originally came from Croatia where the name was spelled Sforzin. They used variations on this spelling and then started using the name Swansine/Swancine/Swanzine.
Mary's father was Stanislaus "Stanko" Mickletich. Following his death her mother actually used the name Stanko as the family name on some records.
