Daughter of David James Low and Isabella Low.

Married (1) George Taylor on Mar. 24, 1791 in Abernethy, Scotland. They continued the family lease of Balvaird Farm from the Earl of Mansfield until 1822 when they and eight of their children immigrated to Van Diemen's Land.
