Zachary Wade married Mary Hatton, a daughter of Richard and Margaret Hatton circa 1658 in Charles County.

They had the following known children:

• Jane Wade, born about 1659.
• Mary Wade, born about 1661; died in infancy.
• Richard Wade, born in 1664; died abt 1727.
• Theodosia Wade, born in 1666; died abt 1749
• Robert Wade, born in 1668; died 1713.
• Edward Wade, born about 1670; died about 1672.
• William Wade, born about 1673; died in infancy.

Mary's father Richard Hatton died before 1649. She came to Maryland with her paternal Uncle, Thomas Hatton, who came to assume the post of Secretary of the province of Maryland. Thomas brought Mary's mother, Margaret Hatton (later Banks), and her siblings Barbara, Elizabeth, Elinor, William and Richard.[1] Mary's grandfather, Robert, was the rector in St. Mary's Church in Lymm, Cheshire in 1611. Her birth date given is February 25, 1638. The Cheshire Parish Register Database.

It appears that Mary Hatton Wade had died by 1677 as she is not listed in her husband's will, which was dated 5 Mar 1677, MARYLAND CALENDAR OF WILLS, Volume I. Various sources list Mary's date of birth between 1632 and 1640.
