Dear Mrs. Moore:
You have written us about the ancestry of Lawrence Wilkinson, one of the founders of Providence, Rhode island, and asking about his descent through his mother, Mary Conyers, from Henry de Bohun, Surety of Magna Charta.
The National Society of the Daughters of the Barons of Runnymede not only accept his decent from Henry de Bohun, but also credit him with descent from eleven of the other Sureties. Their lineage book, however, does not give the detail of the descents of either the members or their pioneer ancestors. This can be obtained by writing their genealogist, Miss Mary Hilliard Hinton, Midway Plantation, Raleigh North Carolina.
Yours very truly, THE AMERICAN HISTORICAL COMPANY, Inc.
