About Mary Woodward
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Jackson-194
Her date of birth was very likely in 1618, since she was baptized on 29 November 1618, in Boston Lincolnshire, England. She is listed as Marye, daughter of Edmund Jacksone, gent. [1]
Mary Jackson was the first wife of Nathaniel Woodward Jr., the daughter of Edmund Jackson of Boston, Lincolnshire, England[2][3] and the sister of Samuel Jackson of Boston MA (she was named in his will dated 7 Aug 1642).[4][5] Her date of birth is unknown.
Mary married Nathaniel Woodward Jr.[6] by about 1638, as Nathaniel is recorded as having a household of 3 people in the 28 Oct 1639 land allotment at Muddy River.[4][5] In the 1641 allotment of land, Nathaniel received 20 acres, indicating that his household had likely grown to 4 heads.[2]
Nathaniel and Mary had the following children:[2][4]
- Child 1. b.by 1639 (b. not recorded);
- Child 2. b.abt.1641 (b. not recorded);
- Elisha bp.1644 d.in King Philip's War, 1675;
- Nathaniel bp.1646;
- Israel bp.1648;
- John b.c.1650
Mary was not named in the 1655 deed in which Nathaniel sold land, so she may have died by this date.[4]. Nathaniel had remarried by 1664.[2]
