About Mathias Hansen

Borgermester / mayor København from 1622-

"Hansen must have been a very wealthy man, at least by 1606 whe he built "Mathias Hansens Gård" at Amagertorv 6, now the sales outlet for The Royal Porcelain Factory." Joel Shackelford: A Philosophical Path for Parscelcian Medicine etc, 2004, on Petrus Severinus decendants p 134-139)

The house was built in 1616 for Mathias Hansen, who was a member of the city council and later served as mayor of Copenhagen from 1622 until his death in 1626. Hansen's daughter was Kirsten Madsdatter, who was one of Christian IV's mistresses and mother of Christian Ulrik Gyldenløve. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathias_Hansen_House]
