Matthew Fortescue 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill

Matthew Fortescue, 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill was born on 31 March 1719.1 He married Anne Campbell, daughter of John Campbell of Cawdor and Mary Pryse, on 8 July 1752.4 He died on 10 July 1785 at age 66.5

    He was the son of Hugh Fortescue and Hon. Lucy Aylmer.2,3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill, co. Devon [G.B., 1746] on 3 May 1751.1
