R. 28 April 1740: ‘I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cherry Harris … one chest and one feather Bed and furniture which she has in her possession already … I give unto my son Mathew Joyner … the plantation whereon I now live with two hundred and forty acres of Land thereunto belonging, one pair of English hand millstones, one iron pott, and one gun’.
