- June 10th, 1295 Proceedings of the Court at Llannerch on Friday before St. Barnabas, 23 Edward L: Matthew de Ludlow complains of '^ Sir " Sirith^ chaplain^ that on Friday^ the Feast of St. Luke^ he came to his house and there took feloniously and secretly a red cow. Birith appears leading the cow into Courts and says that if Matthew will swear the cow is his^ he will restore it^ which Matthew promptly does, and gets the cow. Birith is adjudged to be fined for the theft 5L His sureties are named. The payment of various instalments is noted — ^from 8«. 4(2. to onemark — ; but his total gets no further than 4Z., and the satisfactory note '^ quit is not found.
