Maud Daubeney, daughter of Sir Giles Daubeney (died 1386) and his wife Alianore de Wylyngton, was born circa 1363 at of South Ingleby, Lincolnshire, England.1,2,3

She married (1) about 29 November 1383 to Sir William Percehay.

She married (2) Sir John Hill, Recorder of Exeter, Justice of the King's Bench, [son of Robert Hill, Sheriff of Somerset & Dorset and Isabella Fichet, before April 1390]; 2nd marriage for both. He was Dionisa Durborough‘s widower.

They had 2 sons

1. John; d. s.p. Oct. 23, 1427.
2. Ralph, of Houndstone (? d. 15 Ed.VI.). = Edith Mode (? Moody), of Glo'ster.

& 2 daughters

1. Elizabeth, a nun at Buckland Minchin;
2. & Margaret, wife of Sir William Harington, 5th Lord Harington 7,3

She married (3) before September 1412 to Sir Robert Latimer.3,4

Maud Daubeney left a will between 1 January 1416 and 21 April 1416. She died on 21 April 1416; Buried in the Hospital of St. John Baptist, Exeter, Devonshire.3 Her estate was probated on 13 May 1416.3

With a first marriage on 29 Nov 1383, her birth was prior to 29 Nov 1371, which accords with the date of 1362 in Watney. Watney places Maud as the daughter of Giles, the younger, [died 1403] currently shown as her brother, rather than Giles, the elder, [died 1386] currently shown as her father.

Giles' Will dated June 1, 1400 mentions wife Margaret and children Matilda, Joan, Giles, Thomas and Elizabeth as well as brother Thomas Daubeney. Interestingly he intends compensation to people harmed by his family. "The residue of my goods found in my manors of Kemston and Ingylby, Southpedirton, Baryngton, Polnam, and Usse in the county of Cornwall, I give to my executors to satisfy all men complaining that they have had harm or injury by Giles Daubeney, chivaler, my father, and Eleanor, formerly his wife, my mother, and by me."
