Maulana Sultan lost his father Haje Afee Uddin in 1923 AD when he was just four years old. He studied at Hathajari Darul Uloom Moyeenul Islam Madrasa and passed "Title" from there.

He was a Islamic (Alim) scholar and he had a keen sense about Islam. He preached the knowledge throughout his life. In 1965 He performed Hajj.
