John Harris was born on August 8, 1658, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, the son of John Harris, Sr. and Hannah (Briggs) Harris.
John Harris married by 26 Feb 1691/2 Mehitable Danks, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Swift) (Webb) Danks.[1]
John and Mehitable had (probably) four children -
Death
John Harris died between 1696 and 1702, probably near Springfield, Massachusetts.[1]
His Widow
Mehitable married as her second husband John Sackett II on 17 May 1703 at Westfield, Massachusetts.
"John, son of John and Abigail Hannum Sackett was born in Northampton, Massachusetts, November 4, 1660, died December 20, 1745. He was very much thought of in the town and was prominent in the various movements undertaken for its development. He was well over eighty years of age when he died and he had seen Westfield grow from a mere wilderness to a considerable and thriving community. He married (first) December 1, 1686, Deborah daughter of William and Margaret Filley, of WIndsor, Connecticut. His children by his first wife were John, Abigail, Daniel, David, Benjamin and Deborah."
