Melba Mae LaMountain

Funeral services for Melba Mae Craft Jackson LaMountain, 76, of Houston, Texas, were held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Jackson Chapel Church of Christ with Irby Perkins officiating. Burial followed in Cooper Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

Her life began in Leesville on March 16, 1931, blessing the home of Jack and Mae Craft and ended with a visit from the angels on June 15, 2007 in Houston, Texas. She leaves behind her children, daughter Melba Jo Jackson Murray of Houston, sons Rod Jackson of Houston and Bobby Jackson and wife Holly Jackson of Houston. Also leaving behind her brother, W. H. "Wild Bill"; seven grandchildren, James Murray, Zachary Jackson and his wife Roshelle, Misty Westfall and her husband Rick, Chris Murray and his wife Kim, Erin Jackson, Hayley Jackson and Joel Jackson, all of which reside in Houston. Eight great-grandchildren, Christian Murray, James Murray, Daniel Westfall, Kayla Westfall, Kiana Murray, Isaiah Murray, Zachary Jackson and Hayden Rose Jackson.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Jack and Mae Craft; sisters Helen, Myrtle, Lucille, Madylon and Ruby. She is survived by her brother, W. H. "Wild Bill" Craftof Topeka, Kan.
