[Benjamin Hatch] married Mary Bangs 11 AUG 1715, daughter of Edward Bangs and Ruth Allen. She was born 1692 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts, and died BEF 17 MAR 1769 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.

Mary (Marry) Bangs (called marry in her husbands will), born 1692, at Harwich, married Benjamin Hatch (see who was born Oct. 17, 1686), August 11th, 1715, died at Boston Mass., Feb. 14, 1769. She will, stuff. Registry, volume. 68, P. 49. She died about 1765 at Boston.

• Thomas Hatch of Barnstable & Some of His Descendants: The Descent of Alice Gertrude Hatch and Her Husband, Charles Lathrop Pack, from Thomas Hatch and Allied Families; by Charles Lathrop Pack Records records Mary Bangs b. 1671, as marrying Benjamin Hatch (B. 1686) on Aug 11, 1715. If that were so, he would have been 29 yrs. old, & she, 44. If she were indeed the daughter of Jonathan Bangs and Mary Mayo, as Mr. Pack suggests, it seems possible, but, highly unlikely that she would start having her children at that age. When I first saw this match being caution flagged by the family search site, I too thought it odd. The more I examined other sources, I became convinced that Mr. Pack erred in confusing His Mary With her neice, Mary,( daughter of Edward Bangs) who was b. 1692, and is also recorded as marrying Benjamin Hatch on 11 Aug, 1715 in Eastham, MA.
