About Mereana Wairakau Karoline Pounamu Clements-Matete
Killed by stepfather Demis Peter Cheyenne Paul: Demis Paul, 25, was on home detention for burglary offences when he killed 14-month-old Mereana Clements-Matete, he was sentenced 17 years. Paul murdered the toddler just before her second Christmas, punching her so hard it was like she had been killed in a high speed car crash.
